  • **Basic Symbols & Mudras**

    **I. Symbols:**

    1.  **Boundary Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, draw from the base of the index finger pad to the base of the pinky finger’s third joint, then return to the index finger to complete a circle. Using a tapping motion, cycle five times along the pads and bases of the index, middle, ring, and pinky fingers.

        *   **Purpose:** Represents establishing a sacred boundary and achieving wholeness.

    2.  **Manifestation Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb nail, draw from the base of the index finger down to its pad, then cross over to the middle finger, draw down to the base of the middle finger, then return to the base of the index finger. Repeat this “日” (sun character) shaped elongated drawing motion five times along the index and middle fingers.

        *   **Purpose:** For actualizing intentions and desires.

    3.  **Clearing Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** First, gently move the thumb three times. Then, without touching, make eight counter-clockwise circles between the index and middle fingers (for clearing), followed by eight clockwise circles (for healing). Finally, gently move the thumb three more times.

        *   **Purpose:** Combines clearing and healing energies.

    4.  **Protection Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** Press the thumb pad firmly onto the back of the ring finger’s second joint. The other three fingers naturally curve slightly. Hold for 30 seconds to one minute, or until the mind returns to peace.

        *   **Purpose:** Establishes a protective field.

    5.  **Chakra Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, gently tap clockwise three times in sequence on the pads of the index, middle, ring, and pinky fingers. Then, using the thumb nail, lightly scrape three times across the pads of all fingers, from index to pinky. Finally, gently move the thumb three times.

        *   **Purpose:** For healing and balancing all chakras throughout the body.

    6.  **Connection Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, make eight clockwise circles on the pad of the middle finger, then eight counter-clockwise circles. Then, with the thumb nail, lightly touch the middle of the middle finger’s second joint and its knuckle.

        *   **Purpose:** For aligning actions and connecting with Source.

    7.  **Expression Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, make nine clockwise circles on the pad of the ring finger, then gently scrape the pad of the ring finger nine times.

        *   **Purpose:** For clear and authentic expression.

    8.  **Activation Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, gently scrape eight times across the pads of the index and middle fingers. Then, make eight clockwise circles on the pads of the index and middle fingers.

        *   **Purpose:** For activating latent energies or potentials.

    9.  **Grounding Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** Gently stroke nine times beneath the bases of the middle and ring fingers. Then, along the same area, make nine counter-clockwise circles.

        *   **Purpose:** For strengthening one’s energetic foundation and grounding.

    10. **Healing Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, make eight counter-clockwise circles from the pad of the index finger towards the center. Then, gently scrape the joint line beneath the index finger pad eight times.

        *   **Purpose:** For healing and stabilizing personal energy.

    11. **Propulsion Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** From the joint line beneath the index finger pad, tap to the second joint line of the index finger, then tap across the middle finger’s joint line and upwards, finally returning to tap the joint line beneath the index finger pad, forming a “口” (mouth character) shape. Repeat four times.

        *   **Purpose:** For propelling action and manifesting intentions.

    12. **Barrier Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** Place the thumb pad in the center of the palm between the ring and pinky fingers. Form a fist with the other four fingers, squeezing slightly. Hold for one minute.

        *   **Purpose:** Creates an energetic barrier for protection/defense.

    13. **Higher Self Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** Press the thumb onto the back of the ring finger’s base. The pinky finger gently touches the ring finger. The index and middle fingers press together onto the thumb. Take 3-5 deep breaths.

        *   **Purpose:** For connecting with and receiving guidance from your Higher Self.

    14. **Release Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** Press the thumb onto the middle finger’s second joint. The ring finger bends to touch the pinky finger, with the pinky slightly angled against the ring finger. Take 3-5 deep breaths.

        *   **Purpose:** For releasing unwanted energies or emotions.

    15. **Defense Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** Curl all four fingers into the palm, with the thumb resting in the middle of the index finger, forming a naturally relaxed fist. No counting needed.

        *   **Purpose:** Provides basic energetic protection.

    16. **Language Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, make eight clockwise circles on the nail and pad of the ring finger. Then, gently scrape the pad of the ring finger eight times.

        *   **Purpose:** For clearing blocks in expression and subsequent healing.

    17. **Balance Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb pad, make eight clockwise circles on the pads of the middle, ring, and pinky fingers, then eight counter-clockwise circles.

        *   **Purpose:** For harmonizing energies.

    18. **Central Channel Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb, first make eight counter-clockwise circles, then eight clockwise circles, on the nail and pad of the middle finger.

        *   **Purpose:** For aligning and activating the central energy channel.

    19. **Grounding Symbol (Root Chakra):**

        *   **Action:** Gently scrape nine times from the pad of the pinky finger up its entire length. Then, gently move the thumb nine times beneath the base of the pinky finger (can be touching or not touching the area between the pinky’s base and the palm’s joint line).

        *   **Purpose:** For healing the root chakra and stabilizing fundamental energy.

    20. **Integration Symbol:**

        *   **Action:** With the thumb pad, gently draw a rectangular circle clockwise across the pads of all four fingers (index, middle, ring, pinky), returning to the index finger pad to complete one circle. Repeat three times.

        *   **Purpose:** For healing and balancing all energy chakras throughout the body.

    **II. Mudras**

    1.  **Relationship Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Left hand on top, interlock index fingers. Right hand leans to the left side. Other fingers naturally relaxed.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain until you feel the interweaving and balance of energy fields.

        *   **Purpose:** For harmonizing relationships and energetic connections.

    2.  **Energy Seal Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Interlace all fingers of both hands, with the eight knuckles facing upwards. Bring the two thumbs together.

        *   **Duration:** 1-3 minutes.

        *   **Purpose:** For energetic field protection before meditation or healing.

    3.  **Energy Guidance Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Press the bases of both palms near the wrists together. Rotate them back and forth, crossing left and right, repeating the crossing motion five times, until the palms feel warm or tingly. Finally, bring palms together in prayer position.

        *   **Purpose:** For guiding and circulating energy.

    4.  **Higher Self Union Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Bring the pads of both index fingers together. Press the inner sides of both thumbs together (palms do not touch).

        *   **Duration:** 5-10 minutes during meditation or when receiving high-dimensional information.

        *   **Purpose:** Represents unity and connection with the Higher Self.

    5.  **Self-Love Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Rub the pads of both palms together 10 times. Starting from the wrist joints, gently stroke the entire palm, left hand stroking right, right hand stroking left, alternating for a total of 10 strokes.

        *   **Purpose:** For cultivating self-love and nurturing personal energy.

    6.  **Release Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** The touching fingertips point slightly forward, tilting slightly downwards. The palms will subtly face downwards and slightly outward. Hold the mudra at chest level.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain the posture, visualizing excess or discordant energy being released through the palms.

        *   **Purpose:** For letting go of unwanted energies.

    7.  **Light of Love Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Press the pads of both index fingers and both thumbs together, forming a heart or funnel shape in the center. Fingers naturally spread outwards. Palms face outwards, backs of hands face towards you.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain the posture, visualizing light flowing outwards.

        *   **Purpose:** For radiating love and light.

    8.  **Authority Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Maintain the posture and take 3-5 deep breaths.

        *   **Purpose:** To be used when making important decisions or establishing boundaries.

    9.  **Nourishment Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Interlace the eight fingers of both hands (excluding thumbs), with palms facing towards you. The interlaced fingers form a flat fan shape. Press the inner sides of both thumbs together.

        *   **Duration:** 5-10 minutes, to be used during rest, meditation, or when feeling energetically depleted.

        *   **Purpose:** For replenishing and nurturing energy.

    10. **Creation Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Press the pad of the thumb to the pad of the middle finger. The index finger is slightly curved. The ring finger and pinky finger are bent and touching. The posture resembles holding a calligraphy brush, naturally placed.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain the posture.

        *   **Purpose:** For anchoring creativity or inspiration.

    11. **Karmic Unbinding Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Gently form fists with both hands. Hook the left index finger with the right index finger. The left hand is above the right hand, and the right hand leans towards the left side.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain the posture, visualizing the connections you wish to release being gently severed by light.

        *   **Purpose:** For releasing karmic ties and energetic attachments.

    12. **Defensive Wall Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Palms facing forward, backs of hands towards you. Hook the pinky fingers of both hands, with the left hand above and the right hand below.

        *   **Duration:** 1-3 minutes, or before entering crowded places.

        *   **Purpose:** Creates a protective energetic wall.

    13. **Divine Connection Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Hook the index fingers of both hands. The pad of each index finger presses against its own thumb pad. The left hand is placed at chest level, and the right hand is below.

        *   **Duration:** Use when seeking inner clarity, until you feel the energy field at your chest stabilize.

        *   **Purpose:** For seeking inner guidance and divine connection.

    14. **Yin-Yang Balance Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Interlace all ten fingers, pressing them against the back of the hands. The right thumb presses over the left thumb.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain the posture, feeling the harmony of the left and right energy bodies.

        *   **Purpose:** For balancing masculine and feminine energies.

    15. **Protection Mudra (Advanced):**

        *   **Action:** Press the pad of each thumb against its own ring finger pad. Hook the index and middle fingers of both hands. The left index and middle fingers support the right index and middle fingers.

        *   **Duration:** Can be done anytime, no counting needed.

        *   **Purpose:** Provides advanced energetic protection.

    16. **Two-Way Flow Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** The left hand supports the right hand, with both hands slightly angled apart. The left thumb rests on the three fingers of the right hand. The right thumb points downwards.

        *   **Duration:** Maintain the posture when you feel over-giving or in need of more receiving.

        *   **Purpose:** For balancing giving and receiving energies.

    17. **Integration Mudra (Project):**

        *   **Action:** The right hand supports the left hand. The four fingers of the left hand are placed in the center of the right palm. The left thumb rests on the right thenar eminence (fleshy part at base of thumb).

        *   **Duration:** Use when planning or initiating projects.

        *   **Purpose:** For integrating energies when starting new endeavors.

    18. **Alignment Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Hook the middle fingers of both hands, with the left hand positioned above and leaning to the right, and the right hand below.

        *   **Duration:** Use during meditation, visualizing a stream of light flowing up and down through your core.

        *   **Purpose:** For aligning with your core energy and Higher Self.

    19. **Activation Mudra (Opening):**

        *   **Action:** Extend both index fingers straight upwards. The middle finger of each hand presses against its own thumb’s joint line. Other fingers naturally relaxed.

        *   **Purpose:** For opening up to new energies or insights.

    20. **Sealing Mudra:**

        *   **Action:** Gently form fists with both hands, pressing the two fists together.

        *   **Duration:** Hold for 30 seconds after completing any energy work.

        *   **Purpose:** For sealing and containing energies after a session.
